Beecraigs Country Park - Enjoying Nature
In the picturesque hills of Bathgate, just three miles south from the quaint historical town of Linlithgow, lies the rustic Beecraigs Country Park surrounded by the unfailing beauty of the natural habitat and enveloped within 370 hectares or 913 acres of tranquil scenery. The Country Park is open throughout the year from dawn to dusk, though times will change according to the summer and winter months with the campsite closed during winter. There is no cost attached to the park although depending on the activities taken a small cost maybe required and this can be requested from the Park Centre. Beecraigs Country Park caters for the every whim through recreational and leisure activities which range from the more adventurous such as absailing and kayaking to the quiet, gentle woodland walks and the trout and deer farms.
The countryside rangers are available to help make your stay at Beecraigs one to remember through their invaluable knowledge and expertise in the field management of this fascinating and tranquil West Lothian’s countryside to which they play an important role in maintaining and monitoring the entrée routes which are frequented by strollers, cyclists and horse back riders. An additional service that has been created is one of great importance in closing the gap between the younger generation and the indigenous environment that surrounds them. Transport to Beecraigs Country Park includes bus and rail links with the closest station placed in Linlithgow. Access can also be made by vehicle from the M9 although depending on if you’re accessing the A803 into Linlithgow from the east you will need to take the J3 and if you’re coming from the west you will need to take the J4. Once in the beautiful town of Linlithgow there will be provided from Preston Road clear signage to the Beecraigs Country Park where parking is available for all vehicle transport.
